She was part of the democratic uprising movement in 2020-2021 in Thailand. As a result of delivering her speech on the repeal of Lèse-majesté law in one of the protests, she has been charged with Lèse-majesté law itself. Lèse-majesté law in Thailand has been known as one of the most draconian laws restricting freedom of expression since the law carries a minimum three-year and maximum fifteen-year imprisonment.
